Wrong Carbs

I have a mini Dragster with a 78 zr1 kz 1000 motor, the carbs I got with the motor are Keihin rk26 and I can not get any top end out of the motor. are they 26 mm carbs I know zr1 has 28 mm carbs. Thanks Jay

you need bigger carbs and more motor there was a guy up here years ago that built one and he drove it for awile with a stock motor and carb's and he was running 15's and 16's with it we all tried to talk him into more power but he wouldn't go for it i even offered him one of my engines to try he wouldn't do it. it was sad because it had a lot of potential.
