K&L Fuel petcock repair kit was created by Tommotbird
Just bought a new petcock repair kit for my KZ1100, I notice that in the packet there are two clear plastic washers. Don't remember seeing any when I removed and dissembled the petcock. Would I be right in assuming that they fit on the bolts that attach the petcock to the gas tank?

Not familier with 1100's but my 650 petcock uses an oblong O ring to seal against tank. Sounds like you are correct in that the plastic washers are for sealing. Check out Kawasaki.com and see if they show the washers on your petcock. ;)

IIRC this petcock is fastened to the tank using two bolts. If so, the washers are for the bolts, between bolt-heads and the flange of the petcock. They stop any leaking along the bolts, and will also prevent the bolts from backing out due to vibrations.
