cleaning fuel injectors?

hello all again. I am going to be working on my valve seals and maybe some other things as well. While I have my bike apart, I will want to take a look at my fuel injectors. Is there any way to clean these while they are off the engine or do you clean them by running injector cleaner through the fuel?

Forgot to mention, I have the kz1000 G1 with the original efi.

I'd try a can of STP injector cleaner in the gas. I use the same stuff in my 99 Camry and it seems to keep the injectors happy. Also some Marvel Mystery oil or Seafoam gas additive should keep things clean.

i was wondering the same thing on my classic. i know there're places that clean and flow injectors for my buick grand national. wouldnt these same places be able to do the same for the kawasaki? it would be nice to have actual numbers instead of just running cleaner thru them and guessing if they are all flowing the same. i'll try contacting some of these places and get back to ya iowaKZ.

just got a quick reply from them. they can indeed service these injectors. looks like something for the winter to-do list
