1982 KZ550-C3

I'm trying to get my '82 KZ550 on the road but I've having a little trouble with the vacuum lines! There are four carbs on this bike. Carb numbers 1&2 have little vacuum ports that point towards each other. The number 2 carb has a plastic "T" in the side of it with a short hose connecting it to carb number 1 leaving one fitting sticking up in the air. Carbs number 3&4 are the same way. However carb 4 has a brass fitting that sticks out on the back side of the carb by where the carb holders are. I think it's negative pressure. That's the only carb with a fitting like that. So is that where I connect the hose from the fuel tap? If so, where do I connect the two remaining fittings on the plastic T's between carbs 1&2 and 3&4? Any help would be appreciated!! I've downloaded a shop manual from the internet and I have a Haynes book as well, but not much help.

the brass fitting off of number four is your vac for the fuel tap the other two (on mine anyway) are just vented down with the four overflows,mind you I am not using an airbox or any emisions.I am sure others know exactly how a stock setup goes and will chime in.

now that I give it some thought there should be a nipple or two with nothing hooked to them... if it seems logical(airbox perhaps?)thats where I would hook em

The two hoses that you describe are vent hoses for the carbs. They can be routed with the drain hoses or just lay them over the airbox.
