Type of petcock was created by stallau
The petcock on my hz550-m1 needs to be replaced (one of the screws on the front plate is stripped) and since OEM isn't a possibility just wondering the positives or negatives of going to a on/off version instead of a vacuum as currently installed.

Thanks for the thoughts

Dumb question but I'll feel free to ask. What happens if I forget to turn it off??

If your carb float valves close properly there should be no problem. If they´re not closing you may flood your carbs and engine which is kind of not-so-good. Or fuel drains out from overflow.
