kz 200 carb swami. rescue me. was created by subrock
hey there, I need some real factual info after having a very long and confusing (mostly his part) conversation with the local motorcycle dealer. I need new jets for my stock kz200 carb after converting to pod filters. (1978 kz200 and I think the carb is a keihin pw26 if I'm not mistaken)
its a canadian bike if that makes a difference to which jets came stock.
here's what I need to know:
- what is the stock main size?
- how many sizes will I need to go up to even out the mixture again?
- what's the stock pilot size?
- do I need to upjet the pilot? how much?
thats all I need to know for now but any other upjet tips are welcome.

Kawaaki.com > Owner info >parts diagrams shows stock main to be 105. For a pod filter you could try a 110 or 115. The size is usually stamped on the jet but you need a magnifying glass to see it. Check the Z1 Enterprises web site and type Keihin in the search bar and see if the jets which pop look the same as the one in yours.
The Kawasaki website shows the pilot to be #38 but good luck finding one of those.

I'm not sure what sizes you'll need(I wouldn't go up very much),but I think you can get what you need from Sudco..

I don't think you will need to go bigger for the pilot jet. You can turn the air screw in a little to richen it up.
