Gasket/oring question

On my 1982 1100A2, the air screw orings (square rings?) are hard and no longer hold the screws in place. Engine vibration moves them in/out. Yes, the springs are in place. Where can I get replacement orings without buying the whole rebuild kit? The bike runs good otherwise. Thanks...chris3

I remember a long time ago,I needed an o-ring similar to those ones,Chris,and they are what I was told,a "Quad-ring",hence the 4 sides.
Check with places that deal with natural gas or propane.They use o-rings like that in a lot of fittings.I don't remember if I was successful in finding them or not,or if they handle smaller ones,like you need.

If you're just talking the oring that goes on the air screws, those are probably stock at any dealer as they used the same ring for 20+ years 16038-022

Thanks guys....the dealer here has morons on the parts desk. You walk in there with an IPC from the Kaw web site and they look at you like "what are you, some kinda of smart ass?". I told one guy that I was riding my Z1 when he was still a figment of his daddy's imanigation. It is Friday and I need a little humor....chris3
