Almost stock jetting? was created by Virii
I'm going to be replacing my 4-1 setup on my 77 KZ650-C1 with a set of stock 4-2's and presumably will need to rejet my carbs.
Under my bed are a set of carbs with an accelerator pump that I purchased a year or so ago and a few weeks back took apart and thoroughly cleaned. I believe they're VM24's whereas what's currently mounted are are VM22's without a pump.
I'm assuming I should go with the VM24's rather than rejetting with the stock carbs (since I'll have to pull the carbs either way) but what does that mean for the jetting? What sizes should I start with given the bike will essentially be stock (including airbox, filter, etc) but with a different set of carbs than it originally came with?
...What would YOU do in my situation?

Some of the newer 650's came with lean jetting (in the 90's) but the standard jets would be 102.5 mains with 15 pilots, neddle clipped to the 4th slot.

Thank you for your response!
Just so I'm clear, it sounds like the size of the carb doesn't change the jetting much as the sizes you mention are pretty close to what I have scribbled in my service manual...Does that sound right?
