Is there sufficient fuel in the tank?

Does fuel flow from petcock?

If I understand you have the pingel petcock on there?

If so, the main fuel supply pickup tube is higher than an OEM one. The reserve is pretty much skimming the very bottom on the tank. Try the reserve setting to see if that gets you fuel. If so put more gas in the tank, and use "on" and check agian.

When you reassmebled the carbs did you happen to place the two outside carbs (#1 and #4) in the middle?

put on reserve and plenty of fuel but still no fuel making to bowls almost like vapor lock or something because it flows fine out of the petcock until you put the fuel line on:unsure:

vent in the cap may be plugged or more likely the float valves are stuck(happened to me).i had cleaned and replaced the carbs and let them sit on the bike dry for a couple days and they stuck.i pressurised the tank with an air hose and unstuck them.doesnt take much 10 psi. or less.just wrap a rag around the air nozzle to seal it to the tank.

You could also try just tapping the carbs with a rubber mallet.

If you think its a vent. Thats a simple check, just open up the lid on the tank and see if you get fuel to carbs.
