Are those carb holders pure rubber? Do they have gasket material on the flange?

The replacements from Z1 seemed to be all rubber, same as the originals there might some metal inbeded in them but no gasket material.

Like anarki650 i replaced the airbox boots too, come to think of it, i've replaced most of the rubber bits over the last few years...

The carb holders sold by Z1Enterprises.com are all rubber with the vacuum ports only exiting the right side. They are made by the SAM COMPANY in Japan as made the OEM. I like to leave all four vacuum ports pointing to the right when I work as it is easier to get the hoses on from underneath for me from my manometer. I have a set of long needle nose pliers for installing the hose on the #2 carb port. The others are an easy reach.

Kthx, sounds like I will be replacing them then.

But, if I can get the machine on the road for a little while yet this summer / fall, I will try using the old ones - then replace them over the winter.
