Need help finding carb parts

I recently got a 78 KZ1000 from a guy that had carb problems. The problem was the bleed pipe and main jet were missing from the #1 carb. Does anyone know where I could find a bleed pipe?

I always check e-bay.com, denniskirk.com, and babbitsonline.com first!

I ordered one from Babbits today but I think that I will get told it is discontinued. That is what happened at the bike shop.

The good news is that the KZ1000 was the police bike so there are probably a zillion of them around. The dismantlers will have used carbs available.

I have some from various years if they are all the same. Some out of a 76 and some out of an 80. What size main jet?

I think that all the VM26 carbs are the same(Please correct me if I'm wrong). 105 main jets

There are quite a few VM26 assemblies and the jetting is different in each.

Maybe someone can help me determine what type of carbs I have. I could not find any numbers at all on the carbs. But here is a description of the carbs:

1. The Idle screw is one large knob on the top, rear center.

2. The return spring is one long one instead of being on the shaft.

3.The bowls have a small drain screw with the drain hose on the bottom center.

4. I measured across the engine side of the bore and it was 33/32" which converts to 26.19mm. ( I dont have calipers)

Forgot to say that the last picture is the part I need and can't seem to find.

I definetly have the jet holder, if it will work. Ill have to check on the jet in a little bit and get back to you. Dont know how good the O-ring will be either. If you want them after I look Ill give you them and you can send me what ever the postage is or screw me out of it, Whatever you decide:laugh:

I have one that looks identical to the picture and the 105 main jet. You will need to find a new O-ring. Email me at mtww55@msn.com if you want it
