It could well be this


when i was cleaning them recently i couldn't remove them and feared damaging them i didn't wanna strip them.....

any advice ????

The advice I was given from an old KZ mechanic was "find a screwdriver that JUST fits into the hole so that it engages the maximum amount of slot on the jet. If necessary, get a wider bladed driver and grind it down to fit".

I followed his advice - actually had a screwdriver that "just" fit into the hole and I had no problem. Do be careful, and if you cannot get it free, take it to a machine shop and let them get it out!

Soak it good with PB Blaster then do as said above. You wont strip them but you might break the brass screwdriver slot off with the wrong screw driver. Then you are hosed. Id replace them, dont even try to clean them. Youre milage may vary
