my 80 kz1000b has Mikuni carbs with no id marks that i can find. all the manuals i have show a unit that has throttle cables going in the top verticaly. mine has a shaft going all the way across the 4 units that the round sliders attach to. it goes in the side of the top, the cover is held on with 3 screws. i cannot find out the size or the type for a ring/gasket set. i though these were the original but may be wrong, in the vast world of knowledge out there send smoe my way. thanks russell

Mine had 28mm Mikunis with an acclerator pump

Could you post a picture of the carbs? That would help a lot toward identifying them.

ID mark is faint and on the flange. Attaching a pic. You most likely have VM28 w/pump.
