Hi all. I am putting a basket case back together that someone else took apart and am having a bitch of a time getting the airbox boots to mate w/ the 4 carbs correctly. My gut reaction is that I have the carbs pushed too far towards the cyl head thus making too large a gap at the rear of the carbs. I think the Japs are just getting even for bombing the shit out of them in WW2! Personally, I would have designed the airbox differently, but I dont have that luxury now. I have a shop manual but its just about useless in this situation. If I had another 85 900gpz to look at and make a few measurements, I would be in the pink. Just knowing the distance from the cyl head to a part on the carb would help determine my distances. Any takers? Thanks in advance, Joe
