Depends where the leak is coming from. With all that posting, you didn't mention whether the leak is from the venturi, overflow, air jets, etc.

if i touch my finger of the nipple on the overflow it triggers another leak.

Three things can cause this. First, the bowl has a brass tube that is OFTEN cracked. The overflow will leak continually. Take a can of spray carb cleaner; one that has a straw that you put in the sprayer and put the straw in the end of the overflow fitting. Put your finger up inside the bowl on the end of the brass overflow tube. Put some safety glasses on... repeat put some safety glasses on. Spray. If the tube is cracked, you will see it come out the side. The crack can be from end to end. If you do have a cracked pickup tube, mix some regular JB Weld and slather along the crack. Let it sit overnight and don't get any into the hole on top the tube.

Next issue can be a bad seat/float needle. You can clean the seat but it is often best to replace both components. I suspect www.z1enterprises.com can get you new needle/seat assemblies.

Last is the float If you have 75 Z1B carbs, get a 1/4 straight vacuum fitting adapter. It screws right into the 6mm hole in the bowl where the drain screw goes. Put a clear hose on the end of the adapter. Hold the tube next to the bowl. With the cabs level, turn on the gas... The bowl will fill. you may need to blow into the hose to dislodge air bubbles. The gas will rise in the bowl and when it settles, the gas level should be about 1/8 from te gasket mating line. Don't raise or lower the bowl while doing this. It screws up the test. If you need to adjust the level of gas, bend the tang the pin on the float needle contacts.
