82 csr1000 34mm jetting ? was created by jcleach
I picked up a very clean csr1000 and would like to improve performance I am at about 1300 feet Have individual filters, 2 to 1's with no baffles and someone has swapped in points from a z1 900 (I checked the part #). is this bad or is it acceptable. I am on a very tight budget. what jets should this combo run?

I have been messing with this problem for over a month and have learnd this
1) I should have listened when others said not to take off the airbox..
2) rob at www.Z1enterprizes.com finally got the combo for me (parts are on order):P
I have a 1991 kz1000p with cv34 carbs. I am replacing my pilots with #40 jets and changing the mains to #140.. from all I have heard this SHOULD be the ticket.. thats my 2cents worth..

what exhaust are you running? and do you know if the police cam is similar to the 1000j standard, or the ltd/csr cams.,

I made my own pipes from the collectors back. the 2 come into a 2" pipe with a 4" baffel from j&p cycle.
I don't know about the cams but have been told that the cop bikes have the most high performance cams in the kz1000 line. even with the carbs running like crap this bike runs like a raped ape:woohoo:
