The bike was running like crap, hard starting, back firing, bogging a low rpms, flat spot 5500-6000 rpm, randomly leaking gas out of the overflow tubes... you get the picture.

Replaced the rubber intake manifolds, rubber tubes between the airbox and carbs, rebuilt the carbs(kits) and set up as read in this forum.

Now she runs like a dream, like did when it came off the showroom floor! Steady idle, pulls strong to redline, cruises nicely ,high speed and low speed manuvering ...

Highly recommend it.

I bought kits from Z1, replaced main and pilot jets, air screws, needles, o rings and gaskets. Soaked them in cleaner from NAPA and blew out all of passages with compressed and reassembled.

I think the main differenc was replacing the intake manifolds They seemed ok, weren't cracked and were somewhat pliable on the carb side but i thinks there were air leaks causing a lot of my problems
