1992 ZX-750 carbs? was created by Makarth
Has any one fitted newer carbs to a '77 kz1000. i found cheap good carbs to a 1992 ZX-750. Think i should buy and try? and yes i'm still working on the CB1000 custom carbs but i'm thinking they're shot. Input would be awesome. Thanks guys

Markus

If that ZX-750 has a liquid cooled engine, I don't think they will fit your Z1000.
The liquidcooled 750 engines don't have the camchain running between cylinder 2 & 3. Therefore the carbspacing would be different to the spacing required for your bike.

I'm not sure, but there is a slight chance those carbs are downdraught carbs. Downdraught carbs will also not fit your bike unless you want to seriously change your fueltank...

KZ700-A1 (1984)
525 chain conversion; Dyna 2,2 ohm coils; Taylor plugwires; Stainless steel ZR-7 exhaust ; Remus muffler.
Plans: GPZ cams, ported head, 17 inch wheels, EFI....

I have a set of Stock 1991-92 Suzuki GSXR1100 Carbs mounted to a 1974 Kawasaki Z1 900 and it runs great, the idle isn't as smooth but it totaly wakes that old Z1 up. The one problem I have though is finding air filters or velocity stacks to fit.

The inlets Outer Diameter measures 58mm
but the problem is they have to fit without any modification to the Kawasaki side panels. They need to stop before the side panels, or taper down enough to pass
them. Any help is apreciated.

are you trying to make the side panels fit? if you are i would cut the prongs that hold it in and extend them to give the carbs a little more elbow room.

I don't want to modify the side panels at all. I just need air filters or velocity stacks to fit.
