I have a GPz 750 83 model

I have recently taken the carbs off for inspection and have found that I am missing the "plug which covers the pilot jet passage" as described in the Haynes manual.

Would this be the cause of my problem?

Additionally, I am trying to "displace" the pin that holds the floats on so I can take a look at the float valve etc. The pin doesnt seem to want to slide out. I've used WD40 on it, but it doesnt budge. Is there a trick or just more patience?

sometimes you hafta use a small punch and hammer to get the float pins out.just dont get to wild with the hammer or you could break the bosses that the pins slide thru.

A missing plug will cause problems. You dont say what problem you are having though. I got my plugs from the dealer.

regarding that pin be very carefull and be very patient. Last thing you want to do is break the metal that holds it in place. You might want to try something other than WD 40 like PB blaster and let it soak overnight.

I'm surprised to hear of an 83 Gpz750 with Keihins. I thought they came with Mikunis
