How do you know which carbs are on your bike? I have the stock, they are Mikunis. Are they VM 22s? They have the accelerator pump on the second carb going left from right. Have the tall tops not the flat square ones. If that helps at all! :P Thanks.

Oh 1979 KZ 650 D2 I'm pretty sure. Says SR 650 on the plastic and is blue.

Pretty sure they're all 24mm carbs on the 650's.

Point to KZ Information in the green ribbon, click Filebase, select 1979, scroll down to KZ650-D2, download the "Giant Test" (it's a good read), go to last page for a comparison chart showing mucho info. :)

My bike is the blue like the 79, says SR 650 on the side covers, and I believe says SR 650 on the original insurance, which is from 1984 or so... It says 79' on the pipes? And so far all parts I've ordered (1979 D2) have fit EXCEPT: 1 carb air screw? It was nearly twice the size.. Also: it says the SR 650 has dual disc in the front and single in the rear. Mine has a single that looks like it used to be double (Has mounting bolts for another disc) but only has a single, and has a drum for the rear. This was my passed away grandfathers bike, and I tried the VIN at kawasaki.com which didn't come up with anything. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Ed
