where does this go? was created by downhandonly

Hi there I'm trying to get my 80 kz1000 ltd together for the summer and I got the bike with the carbs off. I'm having trouble figuring out how to hook the gas tank to my carbs. I thought the brass spigot on my petcock was for vacuum, but my manual says this type of petcock is not a vacuum type. also the manual says to hook the two clear lines to the breather box for venting but I have pods so is it ok to route them with the drain lines?? also is a pictue of my carbs, the two big black lines I assume are for fuel so do I "T" them together and hook them to the spigot which is bent down? which leads me to ask what is the brass spigot for??

Looks to me like they are both fuel. Id put gas in the tank and open the petcock up and watch where the gas comes out. If it does infact flow from both then hook them up on each nipple.

Both petcock spigots function the same.

Ignore the color differences of the petcock spigots.

Do not "T" the fuel lines. Use both petcock spigots.

Use most logical routing for the fuel lines,
connecting each line to either spigot desired,
one line to one spigot, and the other line to
the other spigot (two lines to two spigots).

Should also install an inline fuel filter
in each of the two fuel lines.

YES, it's okay to route the vent lines with the drain lines.

YES, the two big black lines are the fuel lines.

BTW, could re-size pics to 550 width and avoid text overrun.

Good Luck! :)
