Carb paint ?? was created by mjg15
I have a set of TK22's for my KZ550d that I want to repaint black . Does anybody know of any fuel-resistant paint that I can use without fully disassembling the rack of carbs ?

Thanks

What I have seen from a couple of sites that do carb restorations is that the use a black satin epoxy paint.
Any industrial paint supplier should be able to help you.
The only thing is you have to be careful you don't get the paint into areas that it should not be.

I tried to paint my tk carbs, looker great for a month or so, but the"fuel proof" paint I use wasn't so much so. It must have taken me 8 hours to strip it all off and clean them (thank god for zip-strip and dremel wire wheels). I would check into powder coating since it is much more durable.
