Thought choke would make it rev higher?

When starting the bike, the idle never rises. I mean I put the choke on and everything, but the engine never really revs higher than 1100-1200rpms. Is there some kind of adjustment that can be made, or do I just suck it up while I wait for the engine to warm up?

Choke clearly works because she won't start at all when the choke is off. It's just that it seems bizarre that the rpms don't go that high. Any thoughts on the subject? I've been looking around the forums for that particular info, but didn't find the answer, so here I am asking the general public!

My bike starts and runs pretty much the same,Sebastien.
The choke WON'T always make it idle a lot higher.
Nothing to worry about,as far as I'm concerned.
My bike can sit for days,and all I have to do is turn the gas on,full choke,and just TOUCH the starter,and VROOM!

Then right away,I'm pulling the choke down.

Hmm, yeah I guess it's nothing to worry about! as long as it starts! Went for a little ride yesterday, let it warm up good before leaving and ran like a champ!
