Ebay auction ends soon, can someone help please.

I don't know much about atv models, will this carb work for a single carb conversion on a 78 750twin?

To me it seems big for a 750. My old 1000cc Sportster had a 38mm Mikuni. You can make anything work tho, ask The Milkman about his single carb conversion to a 650-4cyl.

The 750twin has two 38 mm carbs now. I am changing to a single carb, and I think milkman has a 40 or 42 mm on one of his. What I am wondering is if the atv is a 2-stroke (I don't know if the one this is off of is or not) would this carb still work?

Is there a big difference in a two stroke and a 4 stroke carb?

Auction ends in 3 hours...and they are conveniently located about an hour from me.

Actually, I used a 1.5 inch (38.1mm) Zenith Stromberg carb of a 1300 cc engine. I figured since our engines run at about double the rpm of a car engine the mixture would work out better without doing much jetting work. Worked out fine for me but, then maybe I just got lucky. The one I used has the jet adjustable from the bottom of the bowl. Other than the cold starting enrichment system, there is no jet other than the main one there is no seperate idle system. Quite simple actually.

since no one i know of makes an ATV bigger than around 700cc i would think a 40mm carb would work just fine.
