78 KZ650 Jetting...... George?

Wondering if you guys know what I should shoot for here.

I've picked up a new bike, and it has a 4-1 on it, but stock airbox. It's SUPER restricted, so, I'm going with pods.

I was just trying to get an idea of proper jetting you guys have experience with?

I have a spare set of carbs I'm going to jet and setup so I can just drop them on and go.

Please comment if you have some experience with this.

Thanks!

Not a fan of pods, yes it's much easier to pull carbs but hate the jetting, turbulence issues. I run 105 mains and 17.5 pilots with stock box and Kerker 4/1. Until someone else pipes in I will say that 110 mains and 17.5 pilots should put you in the ballpark. Ride safe... :)

Running pods? Where are you located in the US?

Thanks!

Oh, I don't have the specs, but it's a stock KZ650 B2A, so whatever the specs are for that.

My experience is the stock airbox and filter are not super restricive, they are right for the balance of the engine and exhaust. If it's restricted, try cleaning or replacing the air filter.
