Need help rebuilding carbs
01 Feb 2006 15:47
I'm finally getting around to working on the 650 CSR.
I pulled the carbs and want to clean them really well. I've generally had good results with dipping carbs that have sat for awhile but I want to make sure I get all the rubber parts off first so the dip doesn't eat them. Where are all the places that I'm going to find rubber or parts that can be damaged by the berryman's dip?
Also, it seems like the throttle is stuck. I took the spring off and I still can't get the suckers to move. I'm guessing some of the varnish is holding something important. Is this common or do you have any idea what this might be?
Also any tips on the carb rebuild would be appreciated.
