Our carburetors (81 KZ750E-2) have the sync adjustments outside of the carbs on the linkage, front end. You may be able to get them close with a wire as a gauge, but I used a low side refrigeration gauge (adapted with hose) and adjusted them one carb at a time. Took a while, but now they are exactly the same. Runs perfectly. Cleaned them TWICE first.
Don't separate the carbs from each other for cleaning. I used 2+ spray cans of carb cleaner. Dollar store was cheap.
Good luck with it and welcome to KZR.
Let us know how it's going.

got it all cleaned out and she's running strong. One of the overflow tubes is cracked on the #1 carb so its leaking pretty good, but its alive. It did feel like solid till I got the strand of wire through it and then put the hose with carb cleaner in it and shot it clean. I used a piece of wire and did a bench sync, started on the first try. My starter clutch is about done but it starts as soon as I touch the button.

Buy some JB Weld and smear some over the crack. It fixes the crack permanently.

I've got a 1981 KZ750e and would like to know where you got the 1/4 fairing and what brand is it. Any mods on the install
