K&L carb rebuild kit help was created by fordtruck
I just got my carb rebuild kit today for my 77 KZ1000A and have a question. In addition to the o-ring on the idle mixture screw, what are the other 4 o-rings for? I know one would be for the brass tube that the main jet screws into. I haven't taken the choke plungers apart, are there o-rings in it?
Thanks for any help you can give.

I can't remember which brand I had but it had a diagram if you could call it that, and 1 set of o-rings was for the pilot air screw and the other was for the the float valve seat, which I tried to use and decided not to as the seat was then too close to the floats. My service manual also showed an O-Ring there but there was not one when I took it apart and it works fine without them.

I actually just received a set of carb kits for a friends KZ750 4 Cylinder and theres a set of O-rings for the fuel joints that join the carburetors. I am not going to use those as the carbs have to be split to use them.
That might also be what they are for in your kit.

Thanks sean5775. I'm going to work on it today. I pulled a choke plunger on last night and it has an o-ring on it. It was in bad shape, so hopefully one of the o-rings in the rebuild kit is for it.
