I bought four UNI pods, but the foam rotted. I used Emgo pods for a while, but they were crap. I finally got a pair of dual flange K&Ns and am quite happy with them!

Yes, I just learned that it is worth it to spend the extra cash and get the K&Ns (the Emgos that came with the bike have paper filters, and I ride in the rain......) 'nuff said.

I am sure you will find plenty of advice on new jetting. There are tons of threads on the subject.

chopper daddy, those look cool but I have the separate k and n pods and I have had them on the bike for 13 years and they still look good on my 29s.
I just got an 80 ltd as well and it is mostly stock too 7300miles with some goofy lookin exhaust 4-2-1 which makes it sound like a two cylinder and it exits on the left side instead of right. How does your sidewinder fit up with the stock setup? I like the look of those pipes but was told that you have to modify the footrest and brake to make it work. I just got a vance and hines pipe regular megaphone style and will be putting it on. I have 22.5 pilot jets in it. Your carbs are 28s if stock and I would think that maybe the jetting would be close to that.

Personaly i used 120 main jets k and n individual pod filters and even put stage 3 kit on my bike from dyno jet and it is awsome how much more power you get out of it. But im on a kz650 ltd my suggestion is to jet the bike 20 - 30 percent more fuel to it on the main jet and sync all the carbs. Remember what you pay is what you get like emgo sure there pod filters but there crap and just rot away after awhile but if you pay a little bit more for k and n its worth it

Iv'e tried a few different brands. Nothing seems to be as good as K&N. If I had applied the money to the K&N's that I wasted on the others, the price would not have been bad!

These guys have the best prices I have found, I bought mine here. Fast, no hassle.
