BS32 was created by MCH650SR
I have recently acquired a 79 650SR (D2). I've come to realize that the carbs have been changed to the BS32. When I ordered new intake boots of course they didn't fit. I understand that the 82 650F3 had the BS32 carb. Unfortunately I can't find any listings of parts for this model. They only have the F1 model which does not have the BS32 carbs. Anyone know where I can find the F3 parts list. Not on the Kawasaki site or at my dealer.

I also assume that the head (jugs) are also from the F3 in order for the carbs to bolt up. The bottom end is definitely from '79 as the engine serial numbers match with that vintage.
any info would be great.

Welcome to KZRider MCH650SR!
Unfortunately I can't answer your questions, but I can tell you that you have a great bike there (just the same as mine).
I have a couple of suggestions though:
First, put your location and bike model in your signature line so everyone will know your bike without having to write it in your message every time. The location will help for finding potential fellow riders in your area.
Second, there is a vast database on this site and oftentimes you can find answers to your questions there before asking.
Good Luck,

Dave and Janet

Thx for the quick response. I did a search on this site and in the archives with no luck. Googling also didn't come up with anything.
Hopefully someone out there has an answer.
If not I suppose a phone call to Kawasaki should give me an answer.

You say you bought carb holders and they didn't fit. I won't try and guess why they didn't fit since you chose not to share that info. In any case, the cylinder head for a 79 and an 83 are the same. The carb holder mount bolts are DIFFERENT spacing. Go to Z1Enterprises.com and tell them your story. They will send you a set of carb holders. They WILL NOT FIT until you take a dremmel tool and elongate the holes so the mount bolts can go through.

It's not the carb holders don't fit. It's the air intake boots I need that go from the carbs to the airbox. The BS32 carbs intake throat is a lot large than SM28 carb throats that originallhy came with the bike. The airbox holes I can work around. I just need the rubber hoses that will work from the airbox to the carb throats.

My misunderstanding. You won't likely find your answer at the motorcycle parts store. You will most like find the answer in the hose department at Home Depot. Measure the OD of the airbox side venturi. Find you some some. Toss your old connectors (or keep them for posterity) and enlarge the holes in your airbox. Put them THROUGH the airbox and attach some hose clamps on the inside so they won't pop through... you have just done your first motorcycle butchery! I have a set of BS32s setting on a shelf that I will eventually clean up and install on my shaft drive bike which orignally had the same problem. Will do exactly like I noted here. Just not during our busy season... My VM26s run great but I LOVE the smaller BS32s... more mid-range than the 34s although not as much pull at the top. I hardly get out of mid-range in my advanced years.

I did go to Home Depot and did an improvisation. But surely there are proper hoses that can be had. I'm purely looking for the proper air hoses that will fit this carburateur. A part number would be extremely useful. The airbox is not a big deal to modify to accept bigger hoses.
Hopefully someone can lead me to the proper part number for the air hoses that will fit the BS32 carb intake throats ( on the carb going to the airbox ).

The part number you are after is 14073-1032 that number is from an 83 CSR 650 which used the BS32 carbs. Those hoses will also fit the BS34 carbs as well as the Keihin carbs that came on the 750 LTD's. I don't remember how big the holes are on the airbox but when you get to that point get back with me and I can measure them for you.

Thx for the info. That's what I needed.
I'll be able to figure out the airbox hole sizes once I get the airhoses.
