KZ1000 high and low idle problem was created by parker
I have a 79 KZ 1000 I bought last fall. Riding it in the rain made it die. I found cracks on the ignition coils, and replaced them. It ran fine for a while, but then started to idle really high when choked at start up. When I lower the choke to off, it dies even after almost 10 minutes of warmup. I have to keep the choke on just to keep it running, but not too high or it will idle extremely high. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like you have a major air leak. Your petcock is connected to the carbs via a hose. There are vacuum caps on the carb holders. The emissions equipment may be compromised (hoses cracked/missing? I would carefully check every point air can leak in; especially those that have hoses or caps.
