for a 1979 KZ650 - what are the stock main & pilot jet sizes? What are the stock number of turns for fuel mixture or air screws? Thanks!

According to the Kawasaki microfiche 97.5 mains and a 15 pilot.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

As WG would tell you 79 was the leanest year for 650's. Most standard 650's run 102.5 mains and 15 pilots. But yes, your 79 would most likely have 97.5's. A bike such as yours could benefit from 102.5's (if stock intake and exhaust)

EDIT:
Ok I found out stock for my bike is 97.5 for the main & 15 for pilot.
So by my mechanic's advice, I got 105 mains & 17.5 pilots ( I have pods and open exhaust). Problem is the pilot jets I got were too long! Or the head was too long & didn't work. The stock pilots are stubby. He said the stock 15's would be fine. And actually the bike has never run better! I cannot believe how fast this thing is. He popped a wheelie! In any case, just to be a stickler I would like to install the 17.5 pilots but in the correct style or length.
Anyone know what size or part number I need to ensure I get the right pilots? Sudco down here said bring in the old one or take a picture but it's too late because it's all assembled. Anyone know the exact size or even part number for sudco? Or anyone can upload a photo of that stock pilot screw? Also what carbs exactly do I have - model number? Thanks!
