Hey y'all,

I'm about to buy a replacement petcock but I want to be absolutely sure that it'll fit.

I'm going to purchase this one:

z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=28

On the Z1 site, if you navigate through Kawasaki-> Twins-> 750-> 1976, you get to that petcock.

BUT. It only lists it as fitting the Z1, KZ900 and the KZ1000.

Anyone know if the 1976 KZ750B1 has the same sized thread and petcock as those models?

Same thread is used on the KZ750. So if your motorcycle is dual fuel outlets from the petcock, that one will work. Z1 is sold out of it though.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Thanks guys. I've only seen one other place that sells that part and it's $127 so I'll hold out for Z1's stocking. Thanks!

Have you tried www.pingelonline.com ? There are two types of tanks that I have seen and it looks like you probably have the one with the bung hole if not it would be one that the petcock attaches with two screws. Either way pingelonline has them and the adapters to make them work. I know that the one with one outlet costs what is listed I dunno about the one with two outlets as I have smoothbores on my bike so that is what I bought.

Z1 was able to order it within a week or so, and their price actually isn't that bad compared to what I've seen. Since I'm out of the country for a bit anyway, it should be waiting for me when I return, at which point I will ride ride ride.

I have a KZ750B3 and I have the same problem. I know it have a 22mm thread but I wasn't willing to pay 80 bucks for a new one so instead I'm buying the 22 dollar one ( z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=2634 ) and then a Y fitting to splice it out to two hoses. I doubt if I'm going to run into any starve problems since I only do street riding and this way I can just use one fuel filter. It should work and look decently like stock but I'll write back and let you know once i get it on.
