Mkuni RS carb Manifold \"?\"

Hi, can anyone tell me where to get the correct intake manifolds for a set of Mikuni 36mm RS Radial flat slide carbs? The ones I purchased (a few years ago) are too large in Dia. for the head on one of my 77 KZ1000A1's. The manifolds I have are 36mm ID (headside) & the OD of the intake port on the head is @ 38 - 39mm, the manifolds are too "slopy" (headside). I was talking to one of the vendors on the internet and he suggested that I do in fact have the correct ones but they don't fit woth beans. In addition, my head is ported as well so I need to "port" the intake manifold to make the transition or taper from carb to inake port continuous (I will not polish them, but leave them slightly rough for fuel atomization). I have read (if memory serves) that manifolds for a "J model head" will work but I can't seem to google anything. Thanks for your help, Doug

most use the j's for up to 34's ,i do. i'm not sure if the 36's will fit my 34's are snug. did u check the sites that sell the carbs? like schnitz or pingle, mikuni?let me know if u need help i know a guy that uses 36's on his.

I found a part # on the ones I have they are MIKUNI VM 34-200. The ones on the KZ Zone website look a bit different than mine, I think I'll e-mail them and see what happens. Roy, I think the link you gave me are the same as the ones I already have. Mark, could you ask your buddy where he got his and does he have a part number for them? Thanks guys, regards, Doug

Ive just ordered those manifolds for my RS36 Mikuni, on my 1100 82m.

So i hope they will fit
