anyone ever replace a broken overflow nipple? was created by fixer5000
got a set of e bay carbs with one broken overflow nipple. any ideas on replacing this?

I do believe I have a bowl or 2 "floating" around out in the garage from my custom . I'll check this afternoon. Buy kawasaki doesn't list a part number for the bowl, but I'm guessing they are the same. If I do I'll PM you for your address.
If the weather was nicer I'd hand deliver it,, . I WANT TO RIDE!!!!!!

i have heated an old mikuni(dirt bike carb)and removed the brass nipple.i then pressed it back in to the bowl,on the acc.pump circuit for my z1r.been workin every since.

The two part epoxy from Autozone/Advance auto parts stores works for this.
The epoxy bonds to the carburetor and is gas proof.
I have saved many carbs with it.
Yesterday I repaired a broken float hinge mounting and a cracked float bowl.
It is amazing stuff.

milkman...thanks for the offer but i do still have my old carbs so i could use those for a spare bowl. the advice on heating it to remove it sounds valid to me i think ill try that and have my machinist buddy whip me up a new nipple for it.. again thanks for the offer milkman,...steve

Maybe some Red Loctite that's used for bearing retention will work. A small drop & then push the new part in the bowl should work.
