24 Feb 2008 10:17
just wonder what my working z1r 1000 carbs are worth.. these are the 28mm pumper carbs. jeted, new bowl gaskets.. i do not have the diaham for the pump.. but other than that they worked great... these came off a running bike...

Hmmmmm....$75-$100...maybe even more,depending on condition.
I've got a set here that are in desperate need of a cleaning(soaking),and those ones I'd sell for about $50
There was a set on the bay that were listed as "29mm" and THEY sold for over $170...but that's a whole other story.I put up a post about it.

Yup...I'd say somewhere around the $100 mark.
They look like they're in nice shape.
What are the insides of the bowls like?

Pumpers? Does this mean they have the accelerator pump?
Just curious,

I cleaned out my 'stash' of spare carbs last year and threw 'em up on eBay. I got rediculous money out of them (well, I thought it was rediculous). I had set that was damaged, a set that was incomplete, a set that was stock, a gummed up set...they all went for money that I didn't think they'd bring, so, I think you'll do fine.
Good luck,

Z1R carbs don't have an accelerator pump.
for Kawasakiman - The pump is on #2... it draws gas from the #2 bowl and sends it out a hole on the edge of the bowl through the venturi to the nozzle in the venturi. Similarly, the pump sends gas out through the small fuel lines to the other three carbs, up through the bowl edges into the nozzles of those carbs. All four carbs have nozzles in the venturi where a squirt of gas comes out when the throttle is twisted. The gas moves because of the pump diaphragm and not engine vacuum
