Throttle cable lengths? was created by Afrosemite
So I concluded that my throttle was binding because the "pull" throttle cable was binding up because it was fraying. I thought I would just switch it out for the "push" cable that is still in good condition but it's not long enough. This make sense to anyone else or am I just doing it wrong?

It can be the cable or the housing. New cables are only about 15.00, just replace it and save the headache. I have a friend who went cheap by rigging a new throttle cable up and when he bump started it it took off and he ended up wrecking his front rim and a signal. So instead of out 15.00 he was out about 200.00. Your millage may vary however.

they are not the same length, if you go to z1 read where it says to use another part number for the push pull, and buy two new cables

Already got the new pull cable, I didnt measure or anything but it fit and the old push cable didn't so I am assuming it is longer
