I bought a '77 KZ650B a few months ago and it came with aftermarket dual exhaust. The guy I bought it from said he had bigger jets installed to accommodate the pipes.
I recently replaced the airbox with pod filters and it still runs fine. My problem now is starting the bike. It will only start with starting fluid shot directly into the filters.
I took it to a kawasaki dealership and they said the carbs need to be rebuilt and that it's running lean. They were confident that this would solve the starting issue and running lean issue.
I'm planning on rebuilding the carbs myself...just wondering what size jets I need considering the pipes and filters. Z1 told me 107.5 - 110's. What do you guys think? (not sure what size is currently in there)
