Jets and pods? was created by CptEDIV
I have a sick feeling I'll probably be pulling the carbs off my 79 KZ 650 soon... Haven't finished trouble shooting it missing the second cylinder yet, but in the meantime: I want to order pods and new larger jets to accommodate for the pods. I like the look and sound of pods, and my air box is beat to hell. I read the article on re-jetting: www.motorcyclecarbs.com/Jetting_Rules_of_Thumb_W43C551.cfm/
Helpful, but how do you know what size jets your starting with??
Also, where do you order different Jet sizes?
And... How do I know how big my carbs are to get the right pods?
I want to get all this ordered so that by the time I'm finished going through the carbs I can put on the pods.
Thanks a bunch,
Ed

The sizes are stamped onto the jets. When you take your carbs apart you'll see the numbers stamped on them.

Z1 Enterprises.. Link can be found in numerous spots on this site.

Measure the outside diameter of the carb opening where you'll be bolting the pods on.

Wg is gonna chime in most likely and tell you all you need to know from memory... And you could just send your carbs to him..
