jetting help was created by kz750ohio
Hello everyone. I just bought a 1981 KZ750-4. It needs some work but I have plenty of time up here to give her.
I was needing to find out what jets are needed for the carbs. The owner I bought the bike from gave me a set of Mikuni BS34's from a CSR (opps) I mean GPZ. He said that I might need to rejet them to work on this bike. I was thinking about going to pods instead of the factory air box but I have read on this site the factory box seems to allow it to run smoother or at least that is my understanding. Could someone help me with this and where could I buy the jets. I will post some picks once I get into her a little bit more. I picked up a repair manual today and I downloaded the Kawasaki one off the net. Now the fun begins.

Cheers,

Max

I would give the carbs a try with stock jetting if you use the stock airbox.

thanks. I am going to take them apart tonight and go through them and see how dirty they are and if they need to be rebuild. At the least I will clean them.
