Before I put the carbs back on....

Do i have to use any kind of sealant on the manifolds?

manifold to head i always use some black rtv.
carb to manifold, i just spray a little carb clean on the boots.
makes it slippery and then dries off.
but that's just me.

Yep, I use black permetex, the sticky stuff, between the boots and head. I spray silicone spray on the boots to make it easier to slip them over the carbs......chris3

If your using new carb holders they can be installed dry, but if reusing old ones then yes do as the guys above say.
