Please help with #35 pilot Jets... was created by eldo72
Any one know where I can find a set (2) of #35 Pilot jets for my Kehin CVB36 carb? I have looked all over the internet and just cannot seem to find them anywhere. The old Kawi part number is 92064-043, but they say it is discontinued. I would be good with even a used set. Any help would be MUCH appretiated...

I would start my search at
www.z1enterprises.com
.
I would call them directly instead of trying to search for it on their website.

These pilot jets are not manufactured anymore. I don't think he will find them at Z1E or anywhere else. If he needs a set, he will have to purchase some parts carbs I suspect and pull the pilots out of them.

Yeah, that's what it looks like I will have to do. Any tips on identifying a CVB36 from all the other Kehins in the pile? I will study the ones on my bike, I guess, and go from there... Thanks for the replies.

Have you considered going with a different model of carbs--one for which parts are still available?

Yes, bike is a 1976 KZ400D3. Runs really rich under 3500 rpm. The shop that set up the carbs said there are #40 pilot jets currently in place, and that the bike would run much better (under 3500) with #35 pilot jets. What other carb setup could I run on this? any suggestions? (I just switched from K&N filters back to the stock airbox setup and have a 2 into 1 aftermarket exhaust.) The bike runs GREAT above 3500 rpm.
