I have an '81 KZ440 LTD with no rear(over battery) filter box. I ordered one from another member here and I don't know what kind of filter to get for it. I looked at the parts diagrams and the filter on there looks like this:
www.kawasakiepc.com/SystemSearch_Frames....454&CFTOKEN=51532835
Then I do a search on ebaymotors and this type is what comes up:
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawasaki-KZ400-K...m?_trksid=p1638.m118
So which one do I need?

On the ebay link above, it looks like that's for the kz440b and if so (I have a KZ440A) where can I find the replacement for mine?

Check out BikeBandit.com
They will likely have the filter, but better yet they should have parts diagrams. Copy the part number from the list below the pics and cross reference it on NAPA Auto parts site. From there you can usuallt cross reference to any other large auto parts chain, or just call the chain in your area you are most familiar with. If you can get someone who is the least bit competent they should be able to find it for you and they may even have one. Advance and O'reilly in Atlants had parts for my '82 on the shelf!
