Still hoping to hear some advice on my main jets. The engine bogs at WOT. Should I go with larger or smaller mains?

Thanks.

Leave the needles alone for now. no need to change the only part that is working right at this point.
As for the pilots, do u need a lot of choke to start or half choke? This may give u an idea of whether it is rich or lean. u can also try a bit of choke while riding to see if it likes more fuel in the trouble zone.
u should put tape on the grip and mark off 1/8th , 1/4, 3/4, and full throttle positions. Remember that the pilot serves 0 to 1/4 throttle. Needle = 1/4 to 3/4, mains= 3/4 to full. There is defiantly an overlap from circuit to circuit but stick the formula for now. As u in crease the mains it richens the top of the mid a bit.
After riding the bike at cruise for a few miles at 1/8th throttle, with 1 new spark plug, do a plug chop. This will tell u for sure which way to go on the jetting.

Thanks for responding, Mark.

To answer your question about starting with choke, it usually fires right up with 1/2 choke. And I generally need to take the choke off within 30 seconds or it starts to run rough.

So, does that mean I may be on the rich side?

Possibly rich , but no obvious answer there with 1/2 choke.

Thanks again, Mark.

Right now, I'm repainting my tank, so when I'm done with that, I'll work on doing the plug chop test. I'll let you knoe what I come up with.
