What solutions do you use when cleaning non-painted carb bodies in an ultrasonic cleaner? Any recommendations based on past experiences?

i dont have any experience cleaning carbs in an ultrasound machine, but i do use one in the labs for cleaning glassware and other devices.... theres no reason water wouldnt work. The only purpose of the liquid is to transmit the ultrasonic waves to the carb! ... although if its possible, i bet carb cleaning solution in the ultrasound would be pretty damn effective! Or something else that could dissolve gasoline like an alcohol or diethylether.

You want to use a soapy solution for best effect.
I like Purple power, which I buy in 5 gallon jugs from Advance Auto Parts.

Thanks for the responses. I tried just water and it worked well. I will see if I can find some Purple.
