only starts on choke?

Alright.. I had my bike running, and now the only thing that gets it running is to have choke full on, and if i give it gas, its like it slowly kills the engine, with choke on it starts, and idles at 5.5k, if i give it throttle the exhaust putters, and if i take choke off, it idles down to about 2-500, and slowly dies.. what the hell is going on!?

Anyone in the Tulsa area that would like to devote an afternoon to helping me strip the carbs down? I'll serve lunch!

2-500 seems a bit low on the idle, you might try to adj it up some and see if it will stay running, also the tachs are not that accurate.
have you checked the timing and the advance unit to make sure it is not stuck.
the bikes are kind of cold natured also

Yeah, Kaw 4s are as cold blooded as my ex mother in law's heart. You might check for intake boot air leaks if it is running that high on start up. I have three bikes and each starts different. chris3
