Broken Choke Lever Parts? was created by HerrDeacon
Hi, I was just cleaning the outside of my carbs and noticed that two parts on one of the carbs were broken. I'm not sure of their correct names but one is a lever that is attached to the rod that the choke lever turns and the other is attached to a plunger that makes it go up and down in relation to the lever I just mentioned. The lever connects to this part, it looks like a small plastic spool.

Can these parts be bought separately anywhere? I tried searching but it's hard when you don't really know their correct names. Or will I have to make them some how?

I've attached a picture to show the parts. The two red arrows point to the broken parts.

Any help would be appreciated.

They should be all over the place used off junk carbs. Otherwise you are looking for a starter lever 16046-007 and a collar 16073-014.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Thank you very much RonKZ650, that is a great help. Not aware of many junk places around here for bikes but I'll look. If I can't find anything I'll see if I can order them.

Thanks again.

Thanks Bluemeanie, good idea. That set you posted is nice too. Good idea to have aluminum collars, seems weird they would use plastic!

Thanks.
