Ram-air type intake manifold

Made a ram air type intake manifold, also shimmed all 8 jets in carb, as well as modded exhaust. pix of intake manifold below. I thought you guys might be able to use/improve this idea.

1 inch PVC, by the way. iEmgo pods.
Also, this bike is wicked fast and sounds -great-
will post vids on youtube later.

Interesting intake idea... let us know how it works. Also what is "shimming a jet"? Never heard of this before.

i thought he meant putting washers under the jet to change his rich/lean mixture....i could be wrong though.

my guess is that it would work like raising and lowering the fuel level...or something like that...:dry: :blink:

It's basically the same as raising or lowering the needle using the slots. It sets the jet at a thicker if raised or a thinner if lowered, cross section of the needle. That's how the carb is adjusted on my change over the jet itself is adjusted, not the needle.
