want to identify these carbs.. was created by minderbinder
i have a spare set of carbs that i need some info on. they look like vm26's but there is only one fuel inlet between carbs 2 and 3. also, these have air screws AND pilot screws. i can't find anything about the mixture adjustment on these carbs in my manuals. anyone know what year or model these are off of? anyone know how to set the idle mixture on these? thanks.

If they have no horizontal ribs on the bodies and have both air mixture and pilot mixture screws, they are VM26SS off a Suzuki GS750, GS850 or GS1000 most likely from the late 70s. The only way to tell the difference is to check the ID mark which is stamped on the flange of one of the outside carbs where it enters the bracket. Some versions of the Suz VM26 have remote chokes and some have white plastic caps on the idle knob. The Suz pilot mixture screws break off VERY easily as they spec the pilot mixture screw hole much smaller diameter than on a Kaw suing pilot mixture screws.

That's just some of them. You can never have too many carbs!! Most are rebuilt for resale.

Actually, Vintage motorcycles are my hobby and business. Carb rebuilding is a part of the business.
The wife might get a little upset if I had a girlfriend. She doesnt seam to mind the excess of carbs though.

Did the original poster ever figure out what carbs he has?
