Carb Overflowing was created by MrDonut
Hi,
I have a '77 kz650 c1, runs excellent the only problem is the interior clutch side carb keeps leaking out the overflow tube. I took the bowl off checked/cleaned the float+pin for problems-none, checked and cleaned the needle and seat under the float. Still leaks - Any ideas what may be causing this.
Any help will b appreciated- Jim

Did you adjust the float? It may be set too high.

Do you know how to spot a bad float needle? If not, replace them all. If the bike still leaks, then either that cylinder isn't firing sometimes (if leak occurs while bike is running) OR you need to adjust the float level; that is, adjust the level of gas in the bowl so that there isn't quite as much gas.
